Jorge Masvidal Claims He Would Hurt Wrestlers For Real In AEW

Jorge Masvidal is one of the most established MMA fighters in UFC and he also has a penchant for riling up people with his comments. He is also highly opinionated and never afraid to speak his mind. He has been absent from AEW television for a while and now it seems he claimed he will hurt wrestlers for real in AEW.

Back in 2021, Jorge Masvidal had been appearing on AEW television as part of Dan Lambert’s American Top Team. He also decimated Chris Jericho on AEW Rampage and was regularly featured during American Top Team’s feud with The Inner Circle.

While speaking in a new interview with Jim Varsallone, Masvidal confirmed his return to AEW in April. Although he’s stated that he’ll be attending the event as a spectator, some have speculated that Tony Khan may have reservations about involving him in the show due to his previous altercation with Chris Jericho.

While he hasn’t confirmed if he will be involved in the show, he did hint that the promotion may not want him back after his previous altercation with Chris Jericho. Masvidal made it clear that when he enters the wrestling ring, he’s not playing around and is aiming to hurt his opponents for real.

He added that he loves AEW’s rowdy shows and will attend as a fan to show his support. However, Masvidal believes that AEW is apprehensive about having him back after his previous incident with Jericho.

“I can’t tell you that I’ll be in the show, involved in the show (AEW Dynamite on 4/26) but I can tell you as a fan, I’ll definitely be there. Now, if they got time to include this guy because they know that when I come for these wrestlers, none of that fake stuff. I’m trying to hurt them for real, ask Chris Jericho. Ask anybody that gets in the way, I’m trying to hurt them for real and they know it. So, if they want that heat again, it’s cool but I don’t think they wanna see me back in there after what I did.

Tell you the truth, I’m gonna go as a fan because I love their shows. They got the rowdiest shows when it comes to pro wrestling so I’m gonna be out there definitely just to show love but, I don’t think they want to see that over there. Ever since I did that to Jericho, they’re kind of worried about me.”

Even Tony Khan previously made it clear that he wanted Jorge Masvidal to wrestle in AEW. Even Scorpio Sky previously stated that Jorge Masvidal has what it takes to become a professional wrestler. We will have to wait and see if Jorge Masvidal will ever decide to become a professional wrestler in the future after returning to AEW next month.
