Joe Exotic Says ‘Tiger King’ Ruined His Life

It has been a long time since Joe Exotic became a viral sensation and well-known name after Netflix’s “Tiger King” blew up during the pandemic. The Tiger King star is still behind bars, and that won’t be changing anytime soon. It seems he also believes the show ruined his life.

Joe Exotic considers the hit Netflix series about his life to be the worst thing that has happened to him. This is despite the fact that he has forgiven Carole Baskin. The reason is that it led the public to believe he attempted to murder Carole Baskin.

While speaking to TMZ, Joe Exotic stated that the content he filmed was intended for a separate project that was produced years prior to ‘Tiger King’. He claimed that the producers of ‘Tiger King’ used his interview footage and manipulated it by adding other individuals to create a fabricated “conspiracy to kill Carole”.

He stated it was all done to get TV ratings, and he maintains he’s the innocent victim of that production plot. As previously reported, Joe Exotic has been suffering from prostate cancer, which is believed to be very serious.

Despite that, he is refusing medical treatment for the same. Regarding his rivalry with Carole, Joe attributes it to common business tactics in the animal rescue industry and admits that both he and Carole benefited from their animosity towards each other.

Joe also shared some details about his life in prison, revealing that depression is an ongoing challenge for him. He further disclosed that he has lived alongside some fascinating individuals, including leaders of drug cartels and Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber.

Joe Exotic expressed his desire to be released from prison and marry his fiancé Seth Posey. Additionally, he announced that he is running for President in 2024 as a Libertarian and explained why he believes he is the right person for the job, despite being incarcerated.
