Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s drama-filled relationship garnered a lot of media attention and it was highly publicized. The couple reportedly called it quits in 2013 due to issues caused by Lamar’s addiction problems and finalized their divorce in 2016. However, Khloe recently revealed how she was so “obsessive” with her weight during that time and how she overcame the stress.
The reality star appeared in an interview with InStyle on March 10 where she discussed how she prioritized numbers over what felt right for her body. Khloe mention that she no longer looks at the numbers anymore on the scale because it’s very unhealthy.
“When I first started [working out], I cared so much. Maybe [it’s] just being younger. I think you care about the scale. The scale Fs with you. I don’t even look at a scale anymore. I think it’s really unhealthy. I haven’t in years. They’re just numbers.”
Kardashian now asserts that she only follows her instinct when prioritizing exercise in place of relying on numbers to determine her worth.
“I go off of how confident I feel in myself,” she added. I’m all about [doing] what’s best for me, mind, body, soul. There is no one size fits all.”
The “Kardashians” star also noted how her split from Lamar Odom caused her to develop “obsessive” habits regarding working out.
“The reason why I turned to the gym was actually through my divorce. I didn’t really know what to do. Of course, in the beginning, you [have to] get over that hump of it being really hard and something so new for you. But I felt so accomplished.
I’m sort of a control freak, but in life we can’t control everything. But the gym, what I put in it, I know I’m going to get out of it. And being a control freak — I’m proud of it — I love that I have that control.”
Kardashian and Odom tied the knot in September 2009 after only one month of dating. However since the devorce, Odom has been open about his feelings for the reality star. He also admitted the fact that he didn’t treat her right. Keep an eye on Thirsty For News to get the latest updates regarding the high-profile celebs’ life.
