The Rock Spotted Sitting On Emily Blunt’s Lap While Backstage At The Oscars

The Rock is known for his charismatic personality and many people are drawn to the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. His costars also enjoy his company and Emily Blunt enjoyed it enough to sign on for a Jungle Cruise sequel already. However, the two have a great friendship and their close friendship was clearly demonstrated backstage at the Oscars.

The Academy took to its Twitter page on March 12 to share a black and white photo where the Black Adam actor relaxed on the Mary Poppins Returns actress’s lap. Dwayne sat on Emily’s lap, hunched over and wearing a peach silk tuxedo jacket with a black bowtie.

Emily, looked gorgeous in a white Valentino column dress but also a little frazzled as she sat on the folding chair with Dwayne on her lap. The friends shared the pretty funny unexpected moment against a backdrop of people wearing formal attire. The duo then gave Pinocchio, a film by Guillermo Del Toro, the prize for the best-animated feature film during the event.

Fans were quick to take to the comments section to share positive remarks. A witty follower shared a GIF of Will Ferrell as Elf in a famous moment from the 2004 comedy film, sitting on his much smaller father’s lap.

A second admirer remarked, “I would like to see more of Emily Blunt and The Rock costarring in movies,” and a third added, “Love this completely random photo/tweet in the middle of all the official nominees. Need more of this.”

Emily and Dwayne have always been vocal about their friendship. During a Parade interview in 2021, the mother of two acknowledged she was uncertain about what to anticipate when they first met.
