John Cena Declares Roman Reigns the Greatest of All Time in WWE

John Cena has weighed in on the hotly debated topic of who is the greatest wrestler of all time (GOAT).

While speaking with the AP News, Cena praised WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, saying that he believes Reigns should be in the conversation for the title of GOAT and that, in his mind, Reigns is the greatest of all time.

“But when I’m there as a performer, it’s Roman Reigns’ show. In my mind, he needs to be in the conversation, and in my mind, he’s the greatest of all time.”

Cena’s opinion is likely to be controversial, as wrestling fans have long debated the topic of who deserves the title of GOAT. The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair are just a few of the names that are often cited in the debate.

Cena also spoke about WWE potentially selling Vince McMahon’s sexual misconduct allegations, but he quickly shifted the conversation to Reigns, stating that when he’s performing, it’s Reigns’ show. The two wrestlers recently faced off in a Universal Title match at SummerSlam 2021, which saw Reigns emerge victorious.

It remains to be seen if Reigns’ run as Universal Champion will continue to solidify his status as one of the greatest of all time, but Cena’s endorsement is sure to add fuel to the debate.
