Bad Bunny is a multi-talented artist who has garnered global fame not only as a rapper but also as a WWE Superstar. In fact, the rapper is never afraid of getting his hands dirty and it seems he did so once again during a recent episode of ‘Carpool Karaoke.’
During his appearance on ‘Carpool Karaoke’ on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden on Tuesday night, the Grammy award-winning Puerto Rican rapper revealed his passion for wrestling. As they sang along to songs like Ariana Grande’s “Break Free” and some of his own hits, Bad Bunny professed his love for wrestling, stating that he has been a fan since childhood.
“In my songs, I have a lot of wrestling references.”
During the show, Bad Bunny reminisced about his WWE debut, prompting James Corden to inquire if the rapper would ever consider wrestling himself. Bunny responded with a humorous delay before he made it clear that anything is possible.
“Anything is possible. If I can do it, you can.”
Corden’s reaction to the delay suggested that he understood the challenge Bunny was implying. As they continued on their “Carpool Karaoke” journey, Bad Bunny and James Corden arrived at a wrestling ring, where the rapper showcased his wrestling skills. In a humorous segment, Bunny demonstrated various wrestling holds on Corden, including a chokehold and an attempt at the camel clutch.
“This is harder than I ever thought it was,” Corden said on his belly as Benito grabbed his leg from behind him. “Okay, you’re a naughty bunny! People ask me why I’m quitting the show.
That was more intense than I thought, I’m more about the theater of it.”
Later on, WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio joined Corden and Bad Bunny, imparting the host with tips on how to create an imposing presence while entering the ring. After practicing some “mean mugs,” James was all set to make his wrestling debut, donning a purple mask and matching tights with black flames. To add to the hilarity, he strutted into the ring to the tune of Cher’s “Believe.”
However, Rey played a dirty trick on the comedian and swiftly threw him down to the mat before quickly pinning him. All in all, fans certainly loved the entire episode and that’s all that matters.
