Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have given fans a glimpse of their upcoming showdown as they faced off for the first time during the filming of The Ultimate Fighter season 31. The two former champions are set to coach opposite each other on the reality show that will feature lightweight and bantamweight fighters vying for a UFC contract.
Conor McGregor shared four photos of himself staring down Michael Chandler on his Twitter account. UFC President Dana White can also be seen in between as they pose for their face-off.
While the Notorious One did not caption the post, his intense expression showed that he is set to return to action after suffering a broken leg in his trilogy loss to Dustin Poirier last July. McGregor has been recovering from surgery and has been vocal about his desire to fight Chandler at 170 pounds.
The Ultimate Fighter season 31 is set to premiere on ESPN on May 30 and run until August. The show will feature some familiar fighters such as Jason Knight, Kurt Holobaugh, Brad Katona, and Cody Gibson among its cast members.
As of writing this article, there is no official date or location announced for the McGregor vs. Chandler fight, which will most likely headline a pay-per-view later this year. Until then, stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we bring you similar stories.
