Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s relationship has achieved legendary status. This includes their often excessive PDA and their genuine love and devotion for each other. In fact, Kardashian had a very outrageous inspiration for her wedding dress.
The two finally got married again at a lavish Italian wedding last year, and people couldn’t be happier. In fact, Kourtney Kardashian changed her last name to Barker, just to drive the point home.
Kourtney Kardashian recently shared on Instagram some new information about her Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress that she wore during her wedding with Travis Barker in Italy last summer.
According to her, the dress was inspired by Monica Bellucci’s 1990s Blumarine campaigns photographed by Helmut Newton. In particular, the Italian actress wore a striking veil and a cupless bridal corset that exposed her chest in the spring 1993 campaign.
While Kourtney Kardashian wisely avoided a similar daring style and did not free the nipple during her wedding, she still opted for a thigh-baring white lace ensemble for the ceremony. Kardashian is currently 43 years old.
“The first inspiration for my dress was when Travis and I were watching Guns N’ Roses November Rain video one night before we were even engaged, and we said to each other ‘this has to be our wedding.
She was wearing a short dress and I thought to myself ‘I need a short dress!’
The May 2022 wedding’s location, Portofino, “also influenced the vibes and feeling of the dress,” Kardashian added, because she “just wanted to feel like we ran off to Italy and got married.”
The icon also recently addressed rumors of her being pregnant again. Are you a huge Kourtney Kardashian fan? Do you like her new look? Sound off in the comments!
