Bad Bunny’s Ex-Girlfriend Hits Him With $40 Million Lawsuit

Bad Bunny is a multi-talented artist who has garnered global fame not only as a rapper but also as a WWE Superstar. However, he is not immune from the scorn of an ex-lover and it seems that is exactly what happened recently. This is because an ex-girlfriend filed a $40 million lawsuit against him.

The singer is currently facing a $40 million lawsuit from Carliz De La Cruz Hernández, one of his ex-girlfriends. The lawsuit concerns two of Bad Bunny’s songs, “Pa Ti” and “Dos Mil 16,” which feature voice recordings of Carliz without her permission. In the songs, Carliz’s voice can be heard saying “Bad Bunny, baby.”

According to Pitchfork, the lawsuit states that “thousands of people have commented directly on Carliz’s social media networks, as well as every time she goes to a public place, about ‘Bad Bunny, baby.’ This has caused and currently causes, De La Cruz to feel worried, anguished, intimidated, overwhelmed, and anxious.”

Bad Bunny and Carliz allegedly dated from 2011 to 2017 and attendedd college together. Carliz claims that she was offered $2,000 for the recording and license for her voice, but she refused the offer.

She further alleges that the publication of the songs without her consent was an intentional act of gross negligence, bad faith, and an attack on her privacy, morals, and dignity. The lawsuit also claims that Bad Bunny and his team have been profiting from the unauthorized use of Carliz’s voice in the songs.

”Since De La Cruz made it clear that she did not consent to its use, its publication constituted an act of gross negligence, bad faith, and, worse still, an attack on their privacy, morals, and dignity since all parties had and still have knowledge of these facts and even so decided to be reckless and break the law,” the lawsuit states. “Likewise, the publication of the song ‘Dos Mil 16’ without the consent of Carliz was carried out intentionally, in bad faith and for profit.”

This is certainly a very perplexing situation for Bad Bunny, who is currently on a high. After all, he is rumored to be dating Kendall Jenner. Regardless, we’ll have to see what will become of Bad Bunny.
