Cameron Diaz Retiring From Acting Again After Jamie Foxx On-Set Meltdown

Cameron Diaz is an iconic Hollywood actress. The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star was one of Hollywood’s most popular actors for an extended period. Following the release of Annie, Diaz chose to take a break from acting, stating in July 2017 that she had grown tired of traveling for filming and confirming her retirement the following March. However, she recently made a comeback to act in a Netflix film with Jamie Foxx, but now it appears like she is planning to retire from acting again.

The actress reportedly plans to end her acting career permanently so that she can devote her time to her daughter Raddix. A source close to Diaz informed the Daily Mail on Monday that she hates being away from Raddix.

“These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on her and she hates being away from Raddix. Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world.”

Benji Madden, Diaz’s husband, is appreciative of her acting career but claims that her time spent on set has “been a lot on him.” The insider claimed that Diaz was able to see her family during filming, but it doesn’t feel the same as being with them.

“Although she has gotten to see her family while shooting the film, it is just not the same.”

Madden and Diaz tied the knot in 2015 and welcomed Raddix in 2019. Diaz revealed that she had left acting a year before they welcomed their child.

However, Foxx reportedly threw a tantrum on the set of the Seth Gordon-directed film, which led to the firing of two directors, an executive producer, and his driver. A source close to Diaz, however, has stated that the “Shrek” voice actress and Foxx are on friendly terms and that her alleged choice to re-retire from acting is not related to Foxx’s alleged “meltdown.”

“When you are in a position of authority, sometimes you have to make decisions to let people go who do not share the same vision as you.

Cameron is a businessperson and understands that this is necessary at times and, honestly, Jamie is the only reason that she is doing this film and they are still very close.”
