Josh Gad Won’t Be Starring in ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ Movie

In this day of the internet, truth, and lies are only divided by thin lines. The perception of such thoughts is more so swayed by social media and Josh Gad has been the victim of such false news. However, Josh took to his social media and set things right with his explanation.

Josh Gad recently backed up a poster of ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ Movie. However, the poster mentioned Josh as the main star however it’s not true. The movie might be on its way to production but he isn’t acting in it as of now.

The Olaf voice actor took to Instagram and talked about the fan-made poster which has gone very viral. Addressing the movie, he has told everyone that yes the script is done and it’s definitely materializing. However, the cast and other aspects of the movie which was depicted in the poster are purely fan-made and untrue.

“Wow. This spread quickly. 🤷‍♂️ 🔔🔔🔔 Lol. Okay, for the record, this is not real. This is a Fancast! I was just responding to it. Love that you guys all want this. We do to! The script is one of the best I have read and hopefully the powers that be will see this love and let us make the live action adaptation the original animated film deserves. But for now, again, this is just a fan cast!!!”

On the poster, Josh Gad was listed and appeared to be cast as Quasimodo, the main role. It also mentioned Gal Gadot, who would most likely play Esmeralda. Chris Evans, Peter Capaldi, Imelda Staunton, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Black, and Sacha Baron Cohen were also cast members that appeared on the poster.

Josh initially shared the poster on Instagram and presumably, that’s where this all started. It led fans to believe it was true, including Julianne Hough who commented, “Oh.my.GAD!!!!!!” He later edited the caption of the post to confirm it’s not actually happening for now, at least.

Gad has recently been quite vocal about the racism involving “The Little Mermaid” movie. If anything, this man knows how to voice his concerns. By any chance, if this actually turns out to be the actual cast for the movie, we’re definitely in for a treat.
