Latto can finally see a glimmer of hope in her ongoing legal battle over her arrest for carrying a loaded gun at the airport. Despite the lengthy legal process, it appears that Latto is nearing the end of her troubles, with sources suggesting that the charges against her could soon be dropped.
According to records obtained by TMZ, Latto was arrested at LAX in May 2021 and charged with carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. However, she has since been enrolled in a year-long diversion program, which began in April 2022. As part of the program, Latto has had to complete a gun safety course, perform 120 hours of community service, and avoid all firearms.
If she successfully completes all the requirements of the program, both charges against her will be dismissed. A hearing has been scheduled for late April to determine whether or not she has satisfied all of the conditions.
In a recent track featuring Mello Buckzz titled “Boom Pt. 2”, Latto revealed details about her arrest, rapping the line “I got locked up in the airport, goddamn forgot the gun.” Fans were curious about what happened, and Latto didn’t hesitate to share her story.
She explained that she was arrested with a loaded Glock in her purse while trying to board a private flight to Alabama. She was only held for a few hours, and she still made it in time for her concert down South.
It’s been a challenging journey for Latto, but with the possibility of the charges being dropped, she can finally see some daylight. Fans will undoubtedly be hoping for a positive outcome for the young rapper, who has been open and honest about her struggles with the law.
