Kiefer Sutherland made a name for himself as the iconic CTU agent Jack Bauer in the Fox drama series “24.” In fact, Sutherland recently made it clear that he is open to reprising that role if the show ever gets a reboot.
Sutherland played the lead role in the series from 2001 to 2010, and also appeared in the limited series “24: Live Another Day”. Despite having starred in several other notable thrillers such as “Designated Survivor”, the actor revealed that his love for “24” is still very much alive and that he would never say no to a comeback.
While speaking in a recent interview, Sutherland stated that his time on the show was one of the best experiences of his career. Sutherland called it the best time of his life, adding just how younger he was back then.
“When we finished season 8, I said we were done, and yet we did a season 9. There’s a lot of elements that would have to come together to make that happen, but I certainly would not be the reason why it didn’t”
Sutherland stated that there are a ton of factors that come into play when it comes to making a reboot, but he made it clear that he will never be the reason why a reboot never happens. In fact, he remains committed to reliving that time of his life and stated that “24” is the one thing he would never say no to if it were to return.
Aside from his desire to return to “24”, Sutherland has also been busy with other projects. He is set to star in the upcoming Paramount+ thriller “Rabbit Hole”, which premieres on March 26. In the show, he will play the character of John Weir, a corporate espionage professional who is framed for murder by powerful forces.
We will have to wait and see whether Kiefer Sutherland will end up reprising his iconic role somewhere down the line. It is certain that fans will love to see him act in a 24 reboot again. Keep checking back at Thirsty For News for more updates on your latest Hollywood stars and more.
