Donald Trump is frequently seen in the news for his controversies or legal problems. He has recently found himself in hot water after being accused of allegedly covering up hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign. Trump, however, recently claimed that he will not be charged in connection to the ongoing investigation against him and claimed that the Manhattan DA has “already dropped” the case.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and the Manhattan grand jury are preparing to consider criminal charges against the embattled former president. However, Trump stated to reporters on Saturday that he is “off the hook” in relation to the hush money investigation. Shortly after his rally in Waco, Texas on Saturday, he stated that the case against him may have already been dropped.
“I think they’ve already dropped the case. t’s a fake case. Some fake cases, they have absolutely nothing.”
Soon after making those statements to reporters on Saturday, Trump appeared to contradict himself on his social media network Truth Social regarding whether he anticipates being charged in the ongoing hush money investigation. Trump claims that the prosecutors have no valid case against him.
“They have absolutely no case. The only witnesses are against their so-called ‘star’ witness, a serial liar, convicted felon, and disbarred lawyer.
I did nothing wrong, and they know it. This, and everything else that they are doing with the DOJ-led Witch Hunt, is all about ELECTION INTERFERENCE, their new and ‘highly sophisticated’ method of cheating on Elections!”
As previously reported, Trump’s comments came as the Manhattan grand jury’s ongoing consideration of whether to indict the troubled former president after allegations that he gave Stormy $130,000 prior to the 2016 election. Trump has long denied the accusations that he arranged the deal with the porn star to buy her silence about their alleged affair.
