Retired MLB player Derek Jeter has announced via Twitter that he and his wife, Hannah Jeter, have welcomed their fourth child, a baby boy named Kaius Green Jeter, who was born on May 5, 2023. The couple, who have been married since 2016, kept the pregnancy under wraps, surprising fans with the news of their growing family.
“Welcome to the world lil man!! @hannahbjeter,” Jeter wrote.
Derek and Hannah are also parents to three daughters: Bella, 5, Story, 4, and River, 1. The couple has not yet revealed how they will manage the additional family member, but they seem to be managing well with their busy family life. Derek has previously spoken about how becoming a father to his daughters has changed him, stating that being a “girl dad” has brought out a “whole other side” of him.
Derek has been retired from professional baseball since 2014, after a 20-year career with the New York Yankees. Since then, he has focused on his family and business ventures, including co-ownership of the Miami Marlins.
Hannah, who is a model, has also been focused on motherhood and has been open about the challenges of balancing work and family. She revealed in a 2019 interview with Editorialist Magazine that she gained 70 and 55 pounds while carrying her eldest two children, and that it was not as easy as she thought it would be to get back into shape after giving birth.
Despite the challenges, the couple seems to be thriving as parents, with Derek stating in a 2022 interview with “Extra” that his children have no idea about his baseball fame, and that he likes it that way.
Congratulations to Derek and Hannah Jeter on their new addition to the family!
