Comedian and actor Russell Brand finds himself embroiled in yet another lawsuit as a new accuser steps forward, alleging sexual misconduct during the filming of the Warner Bros. movie “Arthur.”
The actress, identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, claims that in July 2010, Russell exposed his penis to her “in full view of the cast and crew” on the movie set.
According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, she further alleges that Brand, who she described as appearing intoxicated and smelling of alcohol while carrying a bottle of vodka on set, followed her into a bathroom later that same day. In the bathroom, she claims he sexually assaulted her while a member of the production crew guarded the door from the outside.
The lawsuit reveals that the actress suffered extreme fear, shame, and embarrassment as a result of the alleged incident. She also claims to have been hired to work on the movie for three days, but after the alleged assault on the first day, she was not brought back for the remaining two days and was only paid for one day of work.
Jane Doe expressed fear of potential blacklisting in Hollywood and retaliation from Russell Brand’s loyal following if her name is associated with a sexual assault lawsuit against a high-profile celebrity.
This lawsuit adds to the growing list of sexual misconduct allegations against Russell Brand. He has previously been accused by at least four other women and is currently under criminal investigation in the United Kingdom.
Russell Brand has consistently maintained his innocence, vehemently denying all allegations and asserting that all his sexual relationships have been consensual. The legal battle and public scrutiny surrounding these allegations continue to cast a shadow over his career and reputation.
