‘Tiger King’ Star Doc Antle Pleads Guilty to Money Laundering

Tiger King’s Doc Antle is currently a subject of much controversy. Doc Antle had been arrested by the FBI in South Carolina on June 3rd, 2022 for money laundering. Now he has pleaded guilty to money laundering and more. He was accused of laundering $500K as well.

According to TMZ, Doc Antle pleaded guilty to one count of a wildlife trafficking charge and another count of a conspiracy to launder money, both of which carry a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, and three years of supervised release.

The exact sentence that Antle will face remains undetermined, as it will be at the discretion of the judge, who will review a report from the U.S. Probation Office before making a final decision.

The charges against Antle stemmed from an FBI investigation following his arrest last summer. According to the indictment, Antle was allegedly involved in a complex wildlife trafficking scheme that spanned several years. Prosecutors asserted that he had participated in the trafficking of various animals, including cheetah cubs, lion cubs, tigers, and a chimpanzee.

Allegations also suggested that Antle had employed deceptive financial practices, including concealing transactions and falsifying documentation, to profit from the illegal wildlife trade. To add to that, the indictment claimed that Antle had used his nonprofit organization to disguise these transactions as charitable contributions.

It is also believed that some of the animals involved in the illegal activities mentioned in the case might have been associated with his sanctuary. We’ll keep you updated on this going story.
