LeBron James provided an encouraging update on his son, Bronny, who had experienced a cardiac arrest during a USC practice in July. Speaking at a post-game press conference on Monday, LeBron shared the positive news regarding Bronny’s recovery.

LeBron said, “Things are going in the right direction with Bronny’s progress. He’s doing rehab. Every week he gets to do more and more and more. We have a big moment at the end of this month to see if we can continue to go forward. If he’s cleared, we’ll be not too long away from him being back on the floor and back with his teammates and practicing, with the notion of being back on the floor and playing in game situations.”

Bronny’s cardiac arrest occurred during a basketball workout at USC in July, and it was later revealed that he had been diagnosed with a significant congenital heart defect. In October, LeBron confirmed that Bronny had undergone successful surgery to address the issue.

USC Basketball coach Andy Enfield provided further insight, stating that while Bronny wasn’t practicing at the beginning of the season, he was doing well academically and was actively attending classes.
