Britney Spears faced a 13-year struggle under her conservatorship, but her fans remained steadfast in their support. Their efforts paid off in 2021 when she was finally able to break free from the conservatorship. That being said, her infamous door which insulted Christina Aguilera is expected to sell for a lot of money.
According to TMZ, Britney Spears’ childhood home in Kentwood, Louisiana has an asking price of $1.2 million, which is far more since it was sold by Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, for a mere $289,000.
The house, featuring three bedrooms and three bathrooms, retains much of its original furnishings, including a particularly intriguing piece: a wooden door which was related to Britney’s past feud with Christina Aguilera.
“Christina sucks, Brit rules” is scribbled in black marker across the wooden door. This piece of memorabilia has the potential to fetch a substantial sum if it were to be put up for auction.
Bobby Livingston, the executive VP at RR Auction, estimates a potential sale price between $20,000 and $30,000. Jared Mast, head of pop culture at Goldin Auctions, stated that the handwriting would first need to be verified for authenticity before determining its value. He expects the door to sell for anywhere between $10,000-$20,000 given the background.
Further insights from Ed Kosinski of Gotta Have Rock and Roll suggest a potential auction range of $20,000 to $25,000, while Darren Julien, CEO of Julien’s Auctions, projects a more conservative estimate, as he sees a sale price of only $4,000 to $6,000.
We will have to wait and see how much money the door will end up getting sold for in the end. After all, it is related to a crucial time in Britney Spears’ life, which is always worth talking about.
