Kanye West has responded to the lawsuit filed against him by his former employee, Tony Saxon, who accused West of making him sleep on the floor at West’s under-construction Malibu mansion. West has requested that all claims brought by Saxon be dismissed.
According to RadarOnline, Saxon’s lawsuit alleged discrimination, violations of labor laws, and retaliation during his employment at West’s $55 million mansion. Saxon claimed that he had to sleep in makeshift conditions, using his coat as bedding near open insulation and without access to a proper bed or comfortable sleeping environment. He also alleged that he was forced to work in unsafe conditions as various parts of the home were demolished without safety equipment. Saxon complained to West about these issues but received no resolution.
Saxon further described West’s communication style as unresponsive and challenging, making it difficult for him to address key project specifics effectively.
Towards the end of his employment, Saxon claimed that West demanded the removal of electricity and windows from the property, despite safety concerns. When Saxon refused to comply, he alleges that West fired him.
Saxon sought $1 million in damages for alleged discrimination and unpaid wages. In response, Kanye West denied all allegations of wrongdoing, stating that his actions were justified and that Saxon had not suffered any damages due to his actions.
West argued that Saxon was properly compensated for his work and requested the dismissal of the entire lawsuit, with Saxon being ordered to pay his legal fees.
