Post Malone Requests Judge to Dismiss Lawsuit Over Abuse Allegations

Post Malone is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the music industry right now, but that doesn’t mean he is exempt from legal woes. In fact, he has ordered a judge to dismiss a lawsuit which claimed he was abusive towards his ex-girlfriend.

According to RadarOnline.com, Post Malone took a firm stance in response to the ongoing lawsuit regarding a secret settlement made with his former girlfriend, Ashlen Diaz. Malone refuted the claims made by his ex-girlfriend’s former lawyers, who claimed they had possession of incriminating texts and videos revealing Post’s alleged abusive behavior towards Diaz.

Post and Ashlen were romantically involved from 2015 to 2018, and following their separation, Ashlen pursued a claim for palimony, a form of financial support provided to a partner when they were not married. Despite Post’s initial settlement offer of $150,000, Ashlen wanted more money from the musician.

The law firm representing Ashlen, Martorell Law, claimed that Ashlen abruptly terminated their services after being influenced by Post to enter into a confidential agreement, allegedly valued at $350,000, without paying the firm their rightful commission.

”Post Malone pressured and coerced Ashlen to drop the firlm in order to avoid paying a higher settlement sum, and in order to continue manipulating his victim, Defendant Diaz, using his money, power, and control over her to prevent her story from being shared with the world and to avoid near-certain litigation.

“Diaz, unfortunately, gave in to such duress (as victims often do), to her own detriment, separating her from legal representation she desperately needed.”

The legal battle got more intense as the firm introduced new allegations of physical and emotional abuse, along with claims of manipulation within the relationship. They even sought to amend their lawsuit to incorporate these fresh accusations.

“It simply cannot be the case that one of the world’s most powerful celebrities with a documented history of physical and emotional abuse towards his romantic partner uses his power and money to deprive her of legal representation.”

However, in a recent motion, Post vehemently contested the firm’s proposed amendments, labeling them as futile and baseless. He urged the court to dismiss the lawsuit entirely and directed the firm to pursue Ashlen for any further legal action.
