Billie Eilish is definitely one of the best singers in the whole world, as Eilish has worked hard to become as recognizable as she is now. While she might just be 21 years old, there is no denying just how much fans love her. She also admitted that being a woman is just an eternal war.
In a recent feature for Variety, the 21-year-old singer opened up about her experiences as a young woman in the public eye, as she candidly talked about her identity. Addressing the complexities of being a woman, Billie Eilish noted that being a woman is a struggle.
“Being a woman is just such a war, forever. Especially being a young woman in the public eye. It’s really unfair…it turns out that I’m young, and I have a whole life of sh-t I can do. Maybe because my life became so adult very young, I forgot that I was still that young. I settled in a lot of ways: I lived my life as if I were in my 70s. I realized recently that I don’t need to do that.”
Despite expressing a deep love for women and acknowledging strong connections with them, she admitted to feeling a sense of intimidation in their presence. Eilis further added that she simply can’t relate to girls.
“I’ve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real…I have deep connections with women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life. I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence.”
Billie Eilish also had to deal with a stalker situation earlier this year. Regardless, Eilish has a lot of things to look forward to in her life and it is evident hse will grow up to be a wonderful woman.
