Maryanne Trump Barry, the older sister of former President Donald Trump, has passed away at her home in Manhattan, confirms TMZ. The exact circumstances of her death are not clear at this time, but no foul play is suspected.
Maryanne Trump Barry had a long and distinguished career as an attorney and served as a federal judge in New Jersey before her retirement in 2019.
She was known to be a close confidant of Donald Trump in the past, providing him with advice and counsel. However, there were reports of a falling out between them after he was elected President in 2016. This rift became public in 2020 when Mary Trump, their niece, criticized her famous uncle and released recordings that appeared to capture Maryanne criticizing Donald.
In some of those recordings, Maryanne could be heard accusing Donald of “lying” and having “no principles.” With Maryanne’s passing, Donald Trump now has only one older sister, Elizabeth, who is still alive.
Maryanne Trump Barry was 86 years old. May she rest in peace.
