André 3000 made a name for himself as one of the best rappers in the Hip-Hop game right now as he has accomplished a lot in the business so far. Now the rapper has officially announced that his highly-anticipated solo album ‘New Blue Sun’ will be dropping this week.
The legendary rapper took to his Instagram and uploaded a post, revealing that the long-awaited solo album ‘New Blue Sun’ will be dropping on November 17th, Friday. Naturally, this is a big deal for his fans.

The album stans are the rapper’s first solo album, not counting the solo material he contributed to OutKast’s Grammy-winning 2003 double album, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. “New Blue Sun” also represents the Atlanta native’s first complete solo endeavor since the 2006 release of “Idlewild,” his collaborative LP with Big Boi.
The album art he posted also added quite a lot of intrigue as far as artistic direction goes. The solo album boasts contributions from accomplished jazz musicians, including Carlos Niño, Surya Botofasina, and Nate Mercereau. We will have to wait and see how the album will be received by fans and critics alike.
