According to TMZ, the frustration among fans reached a boiling point after the loss and that led to a violent fight. It all took place when several fans directed their anger towards a man sporting a Josh Allen jersey.
Video footage captured by a bystander a few rows away reveals a rapid escalation from a heated verbal exchange to physical violence. Fists were flying in no time following the shouting contest.
In the video, the fan in the Josh Allen jersey retaliated with punches after taking a jab to the face, escalating the situation into a full-blown melee. The fight led to others joining in the fray, including a man donning a Thurman Thomas shirt, who tried to help the Allen fan.
Thankfully, the situation did not spiral out of control, as cooler heads appeared to prevail after the short skirmish. An incident such as this isn’t really surprising as football fans are one of the most passionate fans in any sport and it is likely such fights will happen again in the future.
