Will The Boss, Rick Ross, make a comeback to AEW and join forces with the Mogul Embassy? Swerve Strickland, who has been making waves in AEW, hinted at the possibility.

Swerve Strickland, the former NXT North American Champion, made his mark in AEW last year, and his partnership with Keith Lee led to them becoming the AEW World Tag Team Champions during the summer of 2022. However, their reign was short-lived as they lost the titles to The Acclaimed in September. Swerve’s decision to turn on Keith Lee signaled the end of their tag team, and he embraced his heel persona as a singles competitor.

This heel turn also led to Swerve forming the Mogul Affiliates faction, with rapper Rick Ross acting as their mouthpiece. Over time, Mogul Affiliates merged with Ring of Honor’s The Embassy to create the formidable Mogul Embassy.

While Rick Ross hasn’t made his presence felt in the new-look Mogul Embassy just yet, Swerve Strickland suggested during an interview with ComicBook.com that The Boss could make a return to AEW at any moment.

“You stay tuned. He could pop up anywhere. This man just dropped a huge single with Meek Mill. He’s busy working, but he’ll always have time for AEW and especially myself. He can drop in at any moment.”

The current lineup of the Mogul Embassy includes Swerve as the leader, Prince Nana as the manager, and the team of Brian Cage and the Gates of Agony holding the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championships in Ring of Honor. Since their merger, the faction hasn’t recruited new members, but Swerve emphasized their focus on developing the existing members.

Regarding the possibility of former WWE stablemate “Top Dolla” AJ Francis joining AEW, Swerve mentioned that their primary goal is to nurture the talents they currently have in the Mogul Embassy and help them grow as individuals.

“I don’t know about room [within the Mogul Embassy]. I’m still working on growing us, getting the individuals acquainted with the audience. Those guys still have a lot more to grow, and I’m happy with what we have. We’re going to grow with those guys.”

Fans can catch Swerve Strickland in action against “Hangman” Adam Page in a Texas Death Match at AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 18th. So, will Rick Ross make a triumphant return to AEW? Stay tuned to find out!
