Jake Paul is one of the biggest names in professional boxing right now, who singlehandedly helped rejuvenate the world of professional boxing in many ways. He won his latest boxing match but now he claimed that Nate Diaz is simply too afraid to fight him in an MMA bout.
As previously reported, Jake Paul is scheduled to face Andre August in an eight-round cruiserweight bout on December 15. Prior to this, Jake Paul defeated Nate Diaz in a boxing match as well, which many fans weren’t happy about.
Afterwards, Jake Paul has been calling out Nate Diaz to face him in an MMA fight, just so he can show the world he has Diaz’s number. While speaking to MMA Junkie, Jake Paul expressed his desire to face Diaz in MMA by the end of 2024, offering a significant purse of $10 million – which is more than anything Diaz got in the UFC.
The Problem Child would then claim that Nate Diaz is hesitant to accept an offer to face him in an MMA match, as he feels Diaz thinks he would put his MMA reputation at risk by accepting the bout.
“I don’t know, I think they’re just begging. Pretty desperate, I guess. Wanting to make money but not actually wanting to make things happen. We’re ready, MMA, end of 2024, $10 million, which is more than he’s ever made for an MMA fight – ever. He’s sitting there asking for more money basically drunk tweeting random sh*t and random fight posters, making himself look like a fool.
I just can’t comprehend what they’re trying to do or what they’re saying, but this is the fight game. Everyone says they want to do things, everyone calls people out, everyone blah, blah, blah, but no one actually makes sh*t happen. And that’s what I’ve looked to change in this sport and to just provide transparency to my audience about what’s actually going on with these negotiations and not being afraid to fight anyone anywhere, anytime, any place.
Yeah, 100 percent,” Paul said on competing in MMA. “I’m going to start throwing knees and kicks and getting back to my Ohio Wrestling roots, shooting takedowns. I truly believe that he knows it would be a really tough fight for him, and I think that’s the thing for him where he’s like, ‘Damn, do I risk my whole MMA reputation by giving this kid a chance here?’”
Only time will tell whether Nate Diaz will end up accepting Jake Paul’s offer to duke it out inside The Octagon. After all, Diaz would be the clear favorite in the fight and could walk away with a lot of money should he win.
