Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is doing a political 180, and he’s not shy about it!
Once a vocal supporter of President Biden during the 2020 campaign, The Rock is now doing a public political pivot, and he chose none other than Joe Rogan’s massively popular podcast to drop the bombshell.
During a candid chat with Rogan, they lamented the current state of American friendships being influenced by political leanings. But The Rock? He says he’s all about unity, claiming to have friends who are both Trump enthusiasts and Biden supporters.
But here’s the twist: When Rogan probed him about his Biden-backing buddies, The Rock clarified that he meant pals aligned with the Democratic party, signaling a shift away from supporting Joe’s leadership.
The former pro wrestler and mega-movie star has been making waves in the political arena lately. He spilled the beans on Trevor Noah’s Spotify podcast, revealing that political parties came knocking last year, asking if he’d throw his hat in the presidential ring. With a 2021 poll showing 46% of Americans ready to cast their vote for him, he’s got the numbers. But The Rock ain’t rushing into the political arena just yet – he’s got some “hate” for politics and is opting to spend quality time with his kids.
However, don’t count him out for good! The Rock hinted that he might consider running for office in the future. And if you caught him in D.C. recently, rubbing shoulders with Senators like Chuck Schumer, Jon Tester, Lindsey Graham, and Susan Collins, you’d think he’s already got the politician’s charisma down pat.
Could The Rock be plotting a White House takeover in the years to come? Only time will tell, but he’s definitely got the political world watching his every move!
