Bill Cosby’s spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, has spoken out following the recent lawsuit filed against the comedian by Joan Tarshis, who has accused Cosby of sexually assaulting her twice in the 1970s.
In an exclusive statement provided to RadarOnline, Wyatt expressed frustration, pointing out that other well-known figures, such as Diddy, L.A. Reid, and Steven Tyler, have also faced recent lawsuits involving alleged sex crimes. He questioned when these legal challenges would come to an end.
When asked specifically about Joan Tarshis’s lawsuit, Wyatt kept his response brief, saying, “No comment.”
The individuals Wyatt mentioned, including Bill Cosby, have been subjects of lawsuits and allegations related to sexual misconduct.
In her lawsuit, Joan Tarshis alleges that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by Cosby on two separate occasions. She claims that the first incident occurred when she was 19 years old and was invited for a one-on-one writing session at the studio where “The Cosby Show” was filmed. Tarshis alleges that Cosby gave her a drink, which caused her to feel dizzy and lose consciousness. She claims the first assault happened during this time.
According to documents, Tarshis further alleges that when she woke up, she had to fight off Cosby, who had allegedly sexually assaulted her without her consent.
The second alleged incident, according to Tarshis, occurred about a year later in New York City, where she claims she was once again drugged, lost consciousness, and woke up to find herself naked in bed with Cosby, believing she had been sexually assaulted. Tarshis is seeking damages, alleging assault, battery, infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.
Bill Cosby, who was released from prison in 2021 after his conviction for the sexual assault of Andrea Constand was overturned, has faced numerous lawsuits from various accusers, leading to financial challenges for him and his wife, Camille Cosby.
Cosby’s spokesperson also commented on recent rape allegations against Diddy. R&B singer Cassie filed a $30 million lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of rape, forced engagement in illicit acts with sex workers, and physical abuse throughout their decade-long relationship. Cosby’s representative expressed support for Diddy, stating that he believes Diddy will “be standing on the right side of history” once the legal proceedings are resolved. Diddy has denied the allegations made against him.
