Drake is gearing up to release the instrumental version of his surprise project, Scary Hours 3, and he’s throwing down the gauntlet to his fellow rappers.
The Canadian rapper, known as the “6 God,” wants his rap contemporaries to step up to the plate and showcase their skills by spitting bars over the beats from Scary Hours 3.
Drake made the challenge on his Instagram Stories, stating, “Dropping the instrumentals this week I wanna hear who’s barring up,” alongside an image of the twin fairies featured on the Scary Hours 3 cover.
Scary Hours 3 was released as a surprise project and is essentially the bonus edition of his latest album, “For All the Dogs.” It consists of six tracks, including a feature from J. Cole. Drake shared that all the songs on Scary Hours 3 were recorded in the weeks following the release of his eighth studio album, and he expressed confidence in the body of work he had dropped.
The instrumental version of Scary Hours 3 is expected to provide a platform for other artists to showcase their lyrical prowess over Drake’s beats, creating potential collaborations and remixes that could add exciting twists to the tracks.
Drake’s challenge to his fellow rappers reflects his desire to see the hip-hop community come together and create new music experiences. With his upcoming instrumental release, he’s providing a canvas for other artists to paint their own lyrical pictures and further enrich the world of rap music.
As Drake continues to push boundaries and challenge the status quo, fans can look forward to a dynamic and collaborative future in the world of hip-hop.
