Slim Thug is one of the better-known rappers in the world of hip-hop right now, but he is usually making headlines for all the wrong reasons. This includes rumors that he got his cousin pregnant. Now the rapper has decided to directly confront such rumors.
The rapper took to Instagram Live and addressed a longstanding rumor, suggesting that he had fathered a child with his own cousin. The rapper made it clear none of that is true and noted that he was just “trolling” on Twitter, where he made statements that seemed to indicate he impregnated his cousin.
”I got a baby by my cousin? Which one of my aunties or uncles did I get pregnant with their child?” he asked. “Stop the cap, man. They come up with some bullshit like that. Stop the cap.
Show me any of my aunties and uncles I got one of my cousin’s pregnant. You dumb m*******. It come from when I trolled a long time ago saying some s*** like that on Twitter. This is where that s*** come from.”
The origins of the rumors date back to a Formspring post in 2012, where Slim Thug mentioned the alleged situation as a reason for his breakup with former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett.
The rumors gained renewed attention last week after Slim Thug made controversial remarks about Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy, where she accused him of rape and domestic assault.
“They’re coming back and getting Bill Cosby, coming back and getting Puff — I don’t believe in that, man.
“When s*** go down, speak on that shit right there or it should be null and void. You shouldn’t be able to do s*** unless you let the people know what happened immediately. There should be a time limit on that s***.
What happened was […] you were f****** with a billionaire with all this bread all this time, and then you went and followed your heart to f****** with a trainer.
That apartment got small, that lifestyle fell off, now it’s struggle time, the love wearing off and now you trying to come up with ways to figure out how to get paid […] Quit trying to expose people for money.
That was my personal opinion. I’m sorry we don’t agree on everything…I don’t hate Cassie, I didn’t even know Cassie was black.”
As for Diddy and Cassie’s sexual assault case, it has since been settled outside the court. Regardless, Slim Thug might be tainted with such incestuous rumors for his whole life and there’s nothing he can do about it.
