Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck first met on the set of their movie ‘Gigli’ in 2001 and Affleck quickly proposed the following year. However, the couple split up before the wedding only to reunite in 2021. Jennifer and Ben finally got married in August 2022 but things haven’t been the best for them since then. In fact, Lopez burned a 2002 letter from Ben Affleck while announcing a new project.
According to TooFab, Jennifer Lopez has announced a new movie titled “This Is Me … Now,” aligning with her upcoming album of the same name. Directed by Dave Meyers and written by J.Lo, Ben Affleck, and Matt Walton, the Prime Video movie is described as an “intimate, fantastical, and narrative-driven reflection” of her personal journey of self-healing and self-love.
In a teaser trailer, Jennifer Lopez is seen burning old letters in a fire, including one seemingly written by Ben Affleck dated December 24, 2002. The note shows sentiments of love and gratitude, providing a glimpse into their relationship during their initial engagement so many years ago. The footage also hints at a big wedding, with Lopez donning a white dress for the occasion.
”With an unprecedented rawness and vulnerability, Lopez has crafted a powerful and heartfelt homage to the profound beauty of true love and the indomitable strength of the human spirit,” reads a release. “What began as a return to the recording studio after an almost decade long absence, and inspired by love, evolved into a vision to weave her songs into an abstract biography reverse engineered from the powerful music she had written, recorded and produced.”

The project is described as a powerful and heartfelt homage to true love and the strength of the human spirit. The movie evolved from Lopez’s return to the recording studio after a nearly decade-long absence, so it is very evident the project is a very personal one for Lopez. We will have to wait and see whether the film will end up becoming a success in the end.
