Kanye West has been spending some time in the Middle East recently, for a wide variety of reasons. This includes him spending time with his daughter North West. That said, he is eyeing the acquisition of Lil Dirk’s record contract.
According to TMZ, an unexpected turn of events, Kanye West is in talks to buy out Lil Durk’s record contract with 300 Entertainment. It has been reported that the negotiation process has commenced as Kanye seeks to relieve Lil Durk of his contractual obligations. This was prompted by the label’s CEO, Todd Moscowitz, allegedly refusing to clear Durk’s verse on the recent song “Vultures” featuring Ye and Ty Dolla $ign.
The dispute over Durk’s verse comes after the rapper’s performance of “Vultures” at Blu Dubai nightclub over the weekend alongside Ye, Ty Dolla $ign, and Bump J. However, the final version of the song released on streaming platforms excluded Lil Durk’s verse, leading to disappointment among fans.
This development comes amid Kanye West’s album rollout with Ty Dolla $ign, a project that has faced some delays. West is currently adding finishing touches to the album and is positive it will drop soon, so we’ll have to see when it comes out.
