50 Cent remains one of the most influential rappers in the history of the hip-hop world. The legendary made a name for himself in several mediums such as games, movies, books and more. He also disclosed his first purchase after signing with Dr. Dre and Eminem.
While speaking to Apple Music’s The Rebecca Judd Show, recorded backstage during his Nov. 21 show at London’s O2, 50 Cent talked about what he bought first after signing to Eminem’s Shady Records in 2002. He ended up buying his grandmother a C220 Benz.
“I bought my grandmother a C220 Benz. I’ll never forget because when I got the car, I got it right away, the first thing I bought when the deal was done.”
This incredible move showed just how generous the rapper really was. He shared that his grandfather was visibly moved by the sight of his grandmother’s new car.
“He was having a moment. So he was like, ‘I just went to work. I went to work, hurt my back, came back, and she done brainwashed my kids.’”
50 Cent is undoubtedly one of the nicest people in the rapping scene and stories such as this continue to portray him in a good light. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the legendary rapper.
