Jada Pinkett Smith Addresses Future with Will Smith Following Separation Announcement

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have maintained a public presence as a couple that has only grown in magnitude in recent memory. Through the cheating controversy and Chris Rock slapping incident, the couple is still sticking through everything.

Jada Pinkett Smith, who disclosed last month that she and Will Smith have been living separately since 2016, has now put to rest any uncertainty surrounding the status of their marriage moving forward. It seems that, although they have their problems, there is no tearing them apart.

During a preview of her appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show on November 28th, Jada confirmed, “We’re staying together forever.” She also acknowledged their previous separation, stating, “I tried. We tried.”

Jada, whose memoir titled “Worthy” explores the various challenges and triumphs within her marriage to Will, admitted that she contemplated filing for divorce but ultimately chose not to do so.

Jada Pinkett Smith explained in the NBC News Special, “I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever, and I just haven’t been able to break that promise.”

The Red Table Talk host went on to explain that she and Will Smith are stilling trying to “figure out” how to be in their relationship. It seems like a tough task, but they are up to it.

“Still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership. In regards to, how do we present that to people? We hadn’t figured that out.” 

“I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life. There is not one thing left that I desire in this world—all of the awards, all of the money, the family—everything I’ve ever dreamed.”

As for why the Girls Trip star decided to reveal details about their separation only recently, it was a matter of them not being emotionally prepared to do so until now.
