As of now, these accusations are unconfirmed, and Giddey has not released an official statement. That said, Giddey recently made it clear he had no intention of directly answering the allegations.

According to TMZ, Livvy Cook, the girl involved in the alleged incident with Josh Giddey, is refusing to cooperate with the police investigation. The investigation was initiated following accusations of sexual misconduct against Giddey, who continues to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Questions have been asked about Livvy Cook’s age, with some reports suggesting she could be as young as 15 at the time of the alleged encounter. The age of consent in California, where the incident is said to have taken place, is 18. On the other hand, it is 16 in Oklahoma.

Despite the allegations, Giddey has continued to play for the Thunder, putting up impressive statistics in the two games following the accusations. Team officials have refrained from commenting on the situation, with head coach Mark Daigneault referring to it as a “league matter.” Giddey’s incredibly lucrative deal with Weet-Bix might be in jeopardy as well.
