Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson needs no introduction as far as the world of professional wrestling is concerned. He is a global icon and has many things based on him and that includes statues. Therefore it comes as no surprise he got new wax figures at Madame Tussauds recently.
Madame Tussauds, known for its realistic wax figures of celebrities, recently unveiled three new wax statues of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at its locations in Amsterdam, Dubai, and Berlin. The revealing ceremony took place on November 21, and these lifelike figures will now be permanent fixtures in their respective cities. The Rock took to Twitter to show off the figures as well.
“This is so cool and fun!” Johnson said. “Three new Rock wax figures and nine total all around the world- London, Asia, New York, Hollywood, LA, Orlando and now Berlin, Amsterdam, and Dubai. Wow, that’s a lot of bald head and tattoos. I love meeting my fans all around the world and my Madame Tussauds figures are the next best thing to connecting with you. Come join me at Madame Tussauds, let’s raise some mana together and say cheers to gratitude, good times and nine Rock wax figures that are much cooler than the real human himself.”
Dwayne Johnson’s wax figures can also be found in various other Madame Tussauds locations, including London, New York, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Orlando, and on tours across Asian attractions.
The new series of wax statues in Berlin, Amsterdam, and Dubai showcase outfits worn by The Rock at his film premieres. The Berlin sculpture replicates the floral silk suit from the world premiere of “Jumanji: The Next Level.” In Amsterdam, the figure wears a cerise pink dinner jacket worn during the UK opening of the same film. Finally, the Dubai figure mirrors the powder blue suit worn at the New York premiere of “Skyscraper.”
Thankfully, these three wax figures are much better than the one in the Grévin Museum in Paris, France, for which The Rock had to directly get involved to fix the wax replica.
