LeBron James has left an indelible mark on the world of professional basketball, his contributions and impact will always be remembered. While many consider him as the GOAT, he is known to make a lot of inflammatory statements from time to time. In fact, James recently condemned the suspension of a photographer during Tyreek Hill’s celebration.
LeBron James has spoken out in defense of photographer Kevin Fitzgibbons, who faced suspension and had his NFL credentials revoked for participating in a Tyreek Hill celebration during a game earlier this season. The celebration involved Hill using Fitzgibbons’ phone as a prop. The NFL penalized Hill for “using a prop” in the celebration, and Fitzgibbons had his credentials revoked for the rest of the season.
LeBron took to Instagram to express his disapproval of the suspension, making it clear that he believed the whole ordeal was messed up and an exaggeration on the NFL’s part. Therefore, he blasted the NFL for going overboard.
“Man, this is F’d UP!!! Suspended for the year and possibly for good!! C’mon NFL! Do better! Sh-t ain’t that serious.”
Kevin Fitzgibbons, a friend of Hill’s, posted a TikTok video this week expressing his understanding and respect for the NFL’s decision. He also hoped that he would be allowed back on the sideline next season. Meanwhile, Hill refrained from commenting directly on the situation, stating on Twitter, “I would comment, but I would get fined.” Regardless, many fans have criticized the NFL for what they have done and there’s nothing else to add to this matter.
