Josh Giddey is making waves in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder and is now suddenly making headlines for all the wrong reasons. After all, he has been allegedly involved with an underage girl. Now it appears Livvy Cook is lawyering up in a big way while the investigation carries on.
As of now, these accusations are unconfirmed, and Giddey has not released an official statement. That said, Giddey recently made it clear he had no intention of directly answering the allegations.
According to TMZ, Gloria Allred is set to add another high-profile case to her extensive legal career as the renowned attorney has been retained by the young woman at the center of the investigation involving Josh Giddey.
Law enforcement is currently scrutinizing whether Giddey had an inappropriate relationship with a minor. The investigation, initiated by the Newport Beach Police Department earlier in the week, has faced challenges as the girl and her family have chosen not to cooperate with authorities.
With Allred now taking on the case, speculation arises regarding her specific role. It is plausible that she might facilitate communication with law enforcement or engage in discussions with Giddey’s representatives regarding a potential settlement. When questioned about her involvement, Allred responded by stating, “We represent the family, and we have no comment.”
Team officials have refrained from commenting on the situation, with head coach Mark Daigneault referring to it as a “league matter.” Giddey’s incredibly lucrative deal with Weet-Bix might be in jeopardy as well. We’ll have to wait and see what will become of Josh Giddey in the end.
