Diddy’s legal team is pushing back hard after attorney Tony Buzbee hit the music mogul with a series of lawsuits, accusing him of sexual assault. Buzbee, who claims to represent 120 alleged victims, filed six lawsuits on Monday, four of which involved male accusers. One particularly shocking claim involves a man who says Diddy assaulted him at a White Party in the Hamptons when he was just 16 years old.
In a statement to TMZ, Diddy’s attorneys blasted Buzbee for what they see as an attempt to drum up publicity, stating, “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity.” They further emphasized Diddy’s innocence, saying, “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
Buzbee, known for representing high-profile cases, is reportedly gearing up to file even more lawsuits against Diddy in the coming days, and he has hinted at potentially targeting other celebrities. However, Diddy’s legal team remains adamant in denying the accusations, asserting that he has never committed any of the alleged crimes.
As Diddy awaits trial in his separate federal criminal case in New York, his legal team continues to assert his innocence.
