Doja Cat Shows Off Impressive Surfing Skills in New Video with Pro Coach Raimana Van Bastolaer

Doja Cat is making waves—literally! The California rapper and singer surprised fans by showing off her surfing skills in a new video shared on October 10, where she nailed her first-ever barrel maneuver.

Doja has been keeping a low profile recently, but it seems she’s been busy learning to ride the waves with the help of renowned surfing coach Raimana Van Bastolaer.

In the video, Doja is seen confidently catching a wave at what appears to be a training facility, with Van Bastolaer by her side, helping her maintain balance. After a few moments, he lets go, allowing Doja to surf on her own and glide through a perfect cone of water before smoothly coming out of the barrel. Doja captioned the post simply with, “Thanks guys,” showing her appreciation for the experience.

Raimana Van Bastolaer also shared the video on his Instagram, adding the caption, “We all love you Doja Cat,” clearly proud of his student’s progress.

While Doja Cat has kept relatively quiet since releasing her Scarlet 2 Claude album in May, this new clip has fans buzzing. Her last major appearance in the headlines was back in August when she sparked dating rumors after being spotted holding hands with Stranger Things actor Joseph Quinn. The two made waves of their own after Doja famously tried to get in touch with Quinn through Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp back in 2022, leading to a viral DM drama.

Doja voiced her frustration with Schnapp’s decision to post their private conversation online, calling it “socially unaware” and “snake sh*t.” However, Schnapp later apologized, stating that everything was “all good” between them.
