It’s official: Venom 3, titled Venom: The Last Dance, is clocking in at 1 hour and 50 minutes, with tickets for the Sony-Marvel adaptation now on sale.

The runtime, revealed by theater listings, keeps the movie on par with other films in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. For reference, 2018’s Venom ran for 1 hour and 52 minutes, while Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage came in as the shortest of the franchise at 1 hour and 37 minutes. Fans can expect a tight, action-packed story similar in length to 2022’s Morbius (1 hour 44 minutes) and the upcoming Madame Web (1 hour 56 minutes).

The 110-minute runtime of Venom: The Last Dance fits comfortably within the typical superhero film range. It’s comparable to Marvel entries like 2011’s Thor and 2016’s Doctor Strange (both 1 hour 55 minutes) as well as Sony’s Ghost Rider (2007) and Bloodshot (2020), which clocked in at just under two hours. Fans familiar with superhero movies under the two-hour mark—such as Deadpool (2016), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), and Fantastic Four (2005)—can expect a similarly fast-paced and engaging experience with Venom 3.

The plot of Venom: The Last Dance promises a high-stakes conclusion to Eddie Brock’s (Tom Hardy) story as both Earth’s military and the cosmic villain Knull, the God of the Symbiotes, hunt him and his otherworldly alter-ego, Venom. With Knull’s looming presence, Eddie and Venom face an impossible decision that could mark the end of their journey. According to the official synopsis, “The duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”

In addition to Hardy, the star-studded cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor as a powerful military figure, Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man), Alanna Ubach (Euphoria), Peggy Lu (returning as Mrs. Chen), and Stephen Graham reprising his Venom 2 role as Detective Mulligan. Venom: The Last Dance also marks the directorial debut of Kelly Marcel, co-writer of the first two films, who penned the script alongside Hardy.

Venom: The Last Dance is set to hit theaters on October 25, 2024, and with a gripping conclusion, fans won’t want to miss this final symbiote showdown.
