Jamie Foxx was rumored to have dropped a bombshell during the taping of his upcoming comedy special, “What Had Happened Was,” suggesting that Sean “Diddy” Combs might have been involved in his mysterious hospitalization in April 2023. However, sources close to the actor tell TMZ that there’s no truth to the rumor.

Reports from the taping at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre suggested Jamie mentioned Diddy during a discussion about his health scare — but insiders insist it was all in jest. Despite that, some attendees allegedly took Foxx’s comments seriously. One witness even claimed Foxx addressed the rumor directly, joking, “If [Diddy] was responsible, I’d be dead.”

Further fueling the speculation, producer Choke No Joke previously claimed there was a circulating industry rumor linking Diddy to Foxx’s hospitalization. Choke No Joke alleged that Foxx mentioned Diddy during the comedy special, going as far as to say Jamie called the FBI on the music mogul.

However, no footage from the taping exists to confirm these claims, as attendees were prohibited from filming inside the venue. Whether these jokes will appear in the final cut of the special remains uncertain.
