Amber Rose is stirring controversy after accusing Beyoncé of copying her speech from the 2024 Republican National Convention during the singer’s appearance at Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Houston on Friday.
“She wanna be me so bad. Literally took my whole speech,” Rose wrote in a now-viral Instagram comment, according to a screenshot shared by The Shade Room.
Both speeches focused heavily on the theme of motherhood and how it shapes their perspectives on voting, leading some fans to draw comparisons between the two.
Beyoncé opened her rally address by saying, “I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother. A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided.” She concluded with, “Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations. We must vote, and we need you.”
Similarly, Amber Rose had introduced herself as a mother during her RNC speech in July, stating, “My whole world revolves around providing for my children, keeping them safe, and giving them an opportunity for a better life. That’s something that unites all American parents, whether we’re Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, or Liberals — we all want a better country for our children.”
Rose went on to endorse Donald Trump in her speech, saying, “I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump, President of the United States.”
The accusations from Rose sparked a mixed reaction online. While some supporters backed her claims, others were skeptical and defended Beyoncé in the Shade Room’s comments section, arguing that both women simply addressed similar themes.
Attempts to reach out to representatives for both Beyoncé and Amber Rose for comment, but neither has responded yet.
