Chappell Roan found herself at the center of some red carpet drama on Friday night during the Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour concert film premiere in Los Angeles. Dressed in a bold, see-through red dress, the rising singer called out a photographer, accusing them of previously being rude to her at the Grammy Awards back in February.

In a video from the event obtained by Thirsty for News, Roan approaches the photographer, demanding an apology for their past behavior. She accused the photog of being “disrespectful” at the Grammys and didn’t hold back, telling them they needed to apologize. When the photographer seemingly pushed back, Chappell insisted, “No, no, no, you need to apologize.”

The heated exchange ended when a woman, possibly a publicist or security, intervened and escorted Roan away, preventing the situation from escalating further.

This isn’t the first time Roan has faced red carpet drama. Just last month, she clashed with another photographer at the MTV Video Music Awards. September was also a tough month for the singer, as she backed out of the All Things Go festival, citing feeling overwhelmed.

Roan, who has been very vocal recently, even sparked controversy by refusing to endorse either presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 election and dedicated a pointed song to her former theater teacher during her performance at Austin City Limits earlier this month.

Chappell Roan is certainly not shying away from speaking her mind, but all this public drama is leaving fans wondering if she’s biting off more than she can chew.

What do you think of Chappell Roan’s public confrontations with photographers? Do you think she’s justified in demanding apologies, or should she handle it differently? Let us know your thoughts below!
