50 Cent isn’t interested in getting involved in politics—no matter the price.

During an interview on The Breakfast Club Tuesday morning, the rapper revealed that he turned down a hefty $3 million offer to perform at Donald Trump’s latest rally at Madison Square Garden, just days ahead of the 2024 election.

“I got a call, but they wanted me [for] Sunday,” 50 explained. “They offered $3 million.” Despite considering the offer briefly, the rapper admitted that the conversation didn’t progress far. “I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics. You understand? I do not like no part about them,” he said, making it clear he wants to steer clear of any political involvement.

The rapper further elaborated on his hesitation by pointing to the fallout experienced by Kanye West. “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you. That’s the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye to Japan,” 50 added.

He referenced Kanye’s controversial political remarks, hinting at the impact they’ve had on West’s public life. “He said something about both of those things—and now he can only go to Japan.”

Kanye West has reportedly been hosting listening events for his Vultures album overseas, staying out of the U.S. spotlight amid continued controversy.

50 Cent’s decision to stay out of politics mirrors a trend among entertainers wary of the fallout that comes with endorsing candidates or participating in political events. The rapper is staying focused on his projects without dipping his toes into the political waters—keeping drama to a minimum.
