In the summer of 2023, Bobby Lashley joined forces with the Street Profits—Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins—forming an exciting new faction on WWE SmackDown. Despite the group being portrayed as heels, the audience’s cheers never wavered, leading to an intriguing dynamic throughout their run.
Unofficially dubbed The Pride, the trio quickly found themselves entangled in rivalries with the LWO and Final Testament, establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the blue brand.
During a recent appearance on the Lame Guys Podcast, Lashley opened up about their plans for the group, revealing that they wanted to bring Montez Ford’s wife, Bianca Belair, into the faction.
“We were trying to get Bianca with them [Street Profits], too,” Lashley shared. “She is so much of an inspiration for so many people that she can’t (turn heel). Little girls absolutely love her, and rightfully so. Bianca is an absolute superstar. The acting part is fantastic. Her athletic ability in the ring, absolutely incredible. Everything about her. Her and Montez are a superstar couple.”
While the original idea to bring Belair into the group didn’t come to fruition, B-Fab later aligned with The Pride, adding a fresh element to their storyline.
Belair’s overwhelming popularity with fans, especially young audiences, made it challenging to incorporate her into the faction’s heel persona. However, Lashley’s comments highlight the respect and admiration they have for her talent, both inside and outside the ring.
With The Pride making waves and the Street Profits continuing to evolve under Lashley’s mentorship, it remains to be seen how the faction will shape future storylines—and if Belair might cross paths with them in a meaningful way.
