Britney Spears is getting candid about the rocky moments in her past relationships. During her current vacation in Turks and Caicos, the pop icon took to Instagram to share some unexpected details about the time she spent with an unnamed ex on the island, hinting at fights that led her to sleep outside.

“I’m honestly not ashamed to say this, but whenever me and my ex would come here, we fought,” Spears wrote in the caption of a video where she danced in black lingerie. “Not one time did I sleep in [the] bed with him!!! I got a pillow and would sleep outside.”

Though she didn’t name which ex she was referring to, Spears added that she enjoyed sleeping outdoors despite the circumstances. “I like the sound of the fountain outside!!! I wanted to whisper the secrets of the universe,” she explained whimsically.

This time around, however, Britney admitted the heat has kept her inside. “I’ve stayed inside a lot this trip because it’s insanely hot!!! But think I might just sleep in the baby courtyard tonight 🤷‍♀️.”

For the video accompanying her post, Britney wore a sultry black lace bra with matching low-rise underwear, staying true to her signature Instagram style.

While Spears didn’t confirm which ex she was referencing, her most recent romantic connection was with Paul Soliz, a former housekeeper she briefly dated. The two were last spotted having dinner together in Malibu this past July, shortly after Britney publicly declared her single status.

With the release of her memoir The Woman in Me, the star continues to share deeply personal experiences, giving fans more insight into her journey.
