Mel B is not holding back when it comes to the Spice Girls. The 49-year-old pop icon recently expressed her frustration with her former bandmates for their reluctance to reunite, even revealing that they kicked her out of their group chat.

Appearing on an upcoming episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks—set to air on Sky Max this Wednesday—Mel explained why she got booted from the WhatsApp group. “Because I’m Northern and say what I think and feel,” she admitted. “And I’m constantly saying to the girls, ‘We need to go back on tour.’ Because they’re d–kheads.”

The Spice Girls, which included Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham, became a global phenomenon in the late 1990s. The group was initially formed through an open audition in 1994, originally called Touch, before lineup changes and a rebrand launched them into pop superstardom.

They achieved massive success with a string of record-breaking No. 1 hits and two chart-topping albums, cementing their legacy as the best-selling girl group in the world. However, Geri Halliwell’s unexpected exit in 1998 sent shockwaves through fans, and the group released their last album in 2000 before disbanding.

The Spice Girls briefly reunited for a world tour in 2007 and performed together at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. They also made a rare joint appearance at the premiere of the West End musical Viva Forever. But when the group embarked on their 2019 stadium tour, Victoria Beckham notably opted out.

Do you think the Spice Girls will ever reunite for one last tour? Should Victoria Beckham join the comeback if they do? Share your thoughts in the comments!
