WWE star Rhea Ripley is facing another setback after sustaining a legitimate fractured orbital bone last week. The injury was confirmed by WWE on Wednesday, with Dave Meltzer discussing details on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Meltzer believes the injury likely occurred during a brawl on last week’s Raw between Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez.

In an effort to keep Ripley’s absence storyline-consistent, WWE NXT crafted an angle on Tuesday, showing Morgan and Rodriguez ambushing her in the parking lot. Although the actual attack wasn’t aired, the storyline cover explained that Ripley was sidelined due to injuries sustained from that encounter.

Ripley, who was not scheduled to compete at Crown Jewel, has faced multiple injuries in 2024. She missed nearly three months earlier in the year due to a shoulder issue, making this latest injury another tough blow. WWE has yet to provide an official timeline for her return, leaving fans wondering when “The Nightmare” will be back in action.

Ripley’s absence leaves a noticeable gap in WWE’s women’s division, especially with her recent momentum. As fans await her return, it’s clear that her resilience and determination will be key to overcoming this setback.
